objectively it’s not worse, but it’s a much bigger realistic risk for america. when prices FALL it might briefly stimulate short-term spending, but it basically pretty much shuts down investment, which makes the economy stagnate. spending might be stimulated a little in the short term, but wages fall along with prices, which also means debts are harder to pay back, which is the LAST thing we need right now. normally the govt would just lower the interest rate, but it’s already at 0.

we’re NOT headed towards hyperinflation. the entire world has been inflating with us this whole time. recently, we were DEflating for a while. deflation is not the same as lowering inflation. zimbabwe printed loads of money to pay off its debts; we printed a little money because our economy was reaching dangerous stagnation. the fed’s interest rate was already at 0%. what would you have him do?

guilty as charged. I dont really watch/listen to alot of Glen Beck. However, the debt right now is 11.4 trillion and the debt on Oct. 4, 2008 was 11.3 trillion. Debt/GDP ratio increased 22.6%from 1980 to 1990. Debt/GDP ratio increased 2.1%. Debt/GDP ratio from 2000 to 2008 increased 16.6%. Conservatives caused the problems with massive debt. Take it like a man.
Actually he has spoken of our previous debts several times. You must not be listening. Regardless, because Bush operated on a $4 BILLION dollar deficit, Obamas currect $1.7 TRILLION budget is acceptable to you?
